569 Interventions is a performative intervention that can be interpreted as an act of counter speech.
569 sheets, stamped with the text *But, a map is not a map is not a map is not a map is not a map, are left in libraries between the pages of atlases and other books containing cartographic depictions of world maps based on the Mercator projection. 
Some of these sheets are kept in the Bergkerk, where visitors are welcome to take them away. Here, they are kept in a drawer that has been used to sort stamps for geography lessons. These stamps used to depict images of “the world”, while here only their call numbers remain in the drawers.
