Feelings in the Air vs. I don't know anything

Final exhibition of the exchange at Wimbledon College of Arts June 2019
Installation two metal rod curves, kneaded object, lamp, video projection, and mobile phone video, lecture peformance

A performative installation about discoveries. In the room, on a raised platform, lies a clay object reminiscent of mushrooms, dead tree branches, shells, stones, fossils or corals. The mysterious object is illuminated by a lamp attached to a line suspended in the room. The floating line, bent from metal, looks like a conclusive drawing, a dreamy arrow. Opposite, on the other side of the room, is a mobile phone showing an animated image of a group arranging itself. The mobile phone also leans against a floating line, a dreamy arrow. At the front of the room, a video is projected onto the folds of the curtain, showing two feet moving dreamily. The feet almost caress each other, nestle together, rear up and then relax again.

While a group looks at the works and individuals find a place to sit, I talk about secret dreams, about a city that is like a theatre. About wishes that I know will never come true. About artistic work processes that could actually justify fulfilling wishes. I talk about reflecting while working. I notice that language is not a means here, and that everything I want to say can be seen here.
