As part of the Performancegarten Festival (Cologne), a ritualised, individualised service was offered that understood service as a point of reference between customer orientation and interaction. Through the omniscient oracle, customers were prophesied the service that was right for them in the form of a fortune cookie-like saying. This was presented to them by a specially provided service employee. The services are based on established practices and incantations, draw on elements of pop culture and thus reinterpret rituals. The wide range of services includes physical and mental transformation, initiation, product and knowledge acquisition, and the acquisition of skills. Guests were invited to a private one-on-one conversation. Documentation was therefore provided by the personal impressions of the individual performers.
